Payments

To validate your inscription and confirm your booking at THE SURF HOSTEL, 50% of the total amount of the required services must be paid at least 1 month before your visit.

You can find all the bank details in the confirmation email, which we will sent you once you fill in the enquiry form on our website.

The booking will be considered as valid when the 50% deposit has been transferred to our bank account, and you have received an e-mail with the confirmation of your booking details.

Conditions

1.The participants' minimum age is 18 years old.

2.THE SURF HOSTEL reserves the right to make modifications, but only if these modifications do not change the essential services or due to unexpected and uncontrollable situations.

3.Booking changes depend on availability and it involves a surcharge of €20/£18, due to administrative reasons. You will receive a booking change confirmation once the surcharge is paid.

4.Images of your stay at THE SURF HOSTEL may be used for publicity or promotional material.

5.Customers must be physically fit and capable to swim. The client confirms that from a medical point of view, there is nothing that prevents him/her to exercise the sport of surfing or bodyboarding. We require that you alert us of any allergies or health conditions before booking.

6.Each customer is responsible for their own equipment and hire equipment during its use, and accepts the responsibility to replace it in case of loss or serious damage. The customer has to pay for the loss or damaged equipment and the replaced equipment automatically becomes property of the customer.

7.A €25 deposit in cash is required per person on the day of arrival to THE SURF HOSTEL. This deposit will be refunded at the end of your stay providing all equipment is returned in its original condition and your accommodation is in the same clean condition as found upon your arrival.

8.All excursions listed on the website are not included in the total cost of the trip, additional activities are at the cost of the participant. The excursions and trips we offer depend on a minimum number of participants and availability.

All duty of care will be taken to ensure a safe, enjoyable and memorable time within our hostels however participants must have their own holiday and travel insurance and are responsible for their own actions when not under the care of a hostel staff, coordinators, instructors or guides.

Cancellations

The cancellation will be valid the day we receive it. Due to administrative reasons and expenses, we are unable to refund the total amount of the booking.

1.We will return you 75% of the total amount, when the cancellation is made one month or more before your arrival date.

2.We will return you 50% of the total amount, when the cancellation is made within two to four weeks of your arrival date.

3.Within less than two weeks before the start of the booked dates, we are unable to issue any refund.

4.We recommend you to contract your travel insurance and check their cancellation policy.

Responsibilities

THE SURF HOSTEL does not accept any responsibility nor will issue refunds for the following circumstances.

1.When the client is responsible for the incorrect delivery of the services.

2.When the defective services are due to third parties or occur in an unpredictable manner.

3.When the services can not be provided, due to circumstances beyond the control of the company. These are unusual and unpredictable circumstances with unexpected consequences such as natural disasters or meteorological aspects etc.

4.When the incorrect delivery of the services is caused by happenings at THE SURF HOSTEL, even tough all the diligences were taken, but still could neither be predicted nor prevented.

5.When happenings outside the hostel, during the travel to and from the hostel and outside of course hours, occur.

6.Clients have to listen to the instructions of our staff and to follow THE SURF HOSTEL' regulations. In case of not doing so and behaving irresponsible the company will take the necessary measurements with prior warning, such as the exclusion of the hostel or the courses.

7.Surfing is naturally a hazardous sport. All possible guidance and duty of care shall be exercised by our instructors however THE SURF HOSTEL accepts no responsibility for injuries or damage caused whilst surfing. Surfing unsupervised will be exercised at the participants own risk.

Insurance

For medical assistance during your stay at THE SURF HOSTEL each client ought to have:

1.Medical card and adequate holiday insurance.

2.Copy of their travel insurance policy.

3.Emergency contact details.

By booking the services at the hostel you automatically accept the previous terms and conditions.
